„Greetings to You“ von Warren Buffett

Der Autor staunte nicht schlecht, als er von einem seiner E-Post-Anbieter die Information erhielt, dass sich in seinem Spam-Ordner auf dem Server eine Nachricht von Warren Buffett mit dem Betreff „Greetings to You“ befindet, die eine Geldspende verspricht. Allerdings kommt diese Nachricht aus Kasachstan, was der Autor merkwürdig findet. Unter anderem.
Warren Buffett ist einer der reichsten Menschen der Welt. Laut dem Wirtschaftsmagazin Forbes Magazine der drittreichste. Und er ist einer, der sich, entgegen verfälscht und verkürzt verbreiteter Zitate (siehe hierzu hier auch „Principiis obsta“), durchaus selbstkritisch über die Klasse der Reichen äußert. Zudem ist er bekannt dafür, immer wieder (sehr) große Summen für wohltätige Zwecke zu stiften, beispielsweise für Arme und Obdachlose in San Francisco, außerdem unterstützt er Abtreibungsorganisationen in den USA, die aufgrund des dort weit verbreiteten christlichen Fundamentalismus‘ einen oft mindestens schweren Stand haben.
So erstaunt es nicht unbedingt, wenn man von seinem E-Post-Anbieter die Information erhält, dass sich im Spam-Ordner auf dem Server eine Nachricht von Warren Buffett mit dem Betreff „Greetings to You“ befindet, in der eine Geldspende in Höhe von 1 Million US-Dollar versprochen wird. Sie sei hier mit allen Fehlern wiedergegeben. (Eine dringende Warnung jedoch vorweg: In E-Mails von unbekannten Absendern öffne man nie Dateien im Anhang oder klicke auf darin enthaltene Verweise (Links), wie es hier getan wurde!)

Schade nur, dass sich hinter der Sender-E-Mail-Adresse eine/ein kostanai@tek-centre.kz verbirgt, was laut der Top Level Domain auf Kasachstan verweist, woraus der echte Warren Buffett wohl kaum schreiben dürfte. Auch würde man vom echten wohl doch etwas mehr Bildung und damit auch bessere Rechtschreibkenntnisse erwarten!
Und wieder ein möglicher Geldfluss weniger …

Scheine nicht der Einzige zu sein, der solche Mails bekommt.
Sicherlich nicht; solche Spam-E-Mails werden massenhaft versandt, und die vielen Aufrufe dieses Artikels zeigen mir, dass solche auch andere Empfänger/-innen erhalten haben, die sich für die Hintergründe interessieren. Danke dafür und für den Kommentar!
Mal abgesehen davon, dass ich auf so eine Mail nie antworten, Links oder Anhänge nie öffnen würde, ist es doch schön, dass allein schon kritisches Hinsehen (Herkunftsland) die schlechte Absicht hinter dieser Mail offenbart. 🙂
Solche Mails gibt es mit unterschiedlichen rührseligen Geschichten teilweise immer mal wieder. Misstrauen ist bei so was immer angebracht.
