A Week in War and Peace
The king of work, the superman
Made me turn to go
The prince of peace, the queen of love
The only ones who know
The apple in the big green tree
Don’t take or you go
Leave the paradise alone
That’s all the way it goes
The words were changed, the beer was flowing
Messed up face turned red
The legs were lazy, with a tired head
Would I rather go to bed?
The pipes were shrill, the drums were shaken
The war could find some men
A rain came down, a hundred girls
Escaped and appeared again
Meadows, fields, a walk at night
And time reminded me hard
A drunken view, a sweet delight
Sure that you won’t start?
A break of voices, you broke her heart
While you were sitting close to me
So warm your mouth, it was raining outside
Doesn’t matter, weren’t we free?
The rain came down like tears on cheeks
I talked to you as if I’d known you very long
The years forgotten, the leaves in the wind
Were moving as if they never had gone
You had those mellow moods I need
And unhappy was your mind
The people drunk, with heavy feet
And thought the war is fine
The hair was stormy, a wind out there
Thousand kisses on her neck
The feeling was good, the love was blue
But when I turn it’s black
